October 2026: What Shipped in September
September finished two changes we announced over the summer, and added three new features you can switch on yourself. The September changelog has every fix and the API detail.
If you missed our summer update, it covers the features list in your settings and the other changes from April through August: Summer 2026.
Merge Data has a new page, and a permission
View Merge Fields, in the gear menu beside the project name, now opens a searchable page. Click any value to copy its template path, and switch between V1 and V2 at the top right.
Opening it now takes the Merge Data permission at View level. If people on your account write document templates, check that their role has Merge Data set to View under Settings > Users & Groups > Roles. Without it, View Merge Fields and View Merge Fields V2 do not appear in their project menu.
V2 merge data also gained cost and profit fields for professional services, governance, travel and expenses, and resources, so a template no longer has to work out professional services cost by subtraction. Full detail: V2 field reference.
The unified approval workflow is on for every account
The single table of approval levels, with criteria on technical approval and approvers beyond the Sales Executive, is now how approvals work on every account. We said in the summer that we would move accounts across one at a time. That finished on 9 September, and nothing is required from you. Full detail: Approval workflow.
The new Settings is the default
The redesigned Settings pages are now the default. Edit pages keep their tabs inside the page, and the header with Cancel and Save stays in place as you move between tabs. Adding a row on a list tab, such as an approver, a resource rate or a client contact, opens a panel on the right.
Until the previous design retires on October 31, users with the User Preferences permission at Manage level can switch back with the Settings V2 toggle under User Profile > Preferences.
Project pages share one layout
Most project pages, from Project Overview through Notes, Resources, Vendor Quotes and the pricing pages, now use the same layout as Settings, with the page’s buttons in the header. Selecting rows shows a small “N Selected” control with a delete button. Project Overview no longer has a Back button.
Three new features to switch on
Each of these is in beta and is planned to switch on for every account on October 31. To use one before then, an administrator can switch it on under Settings > Account > Account Preferences, in the features list.
- Service Hours Feedback. Compares the hours you estimate with the hours your team records in your PSA. A Review tab on your Professional Services catalog lists services that consistently run over or under, and a Project Review page compares estimated and actual hours on delivered projects. Needs a ConnectWise, Autotask or HaloPSA integration, with projects pushed to it.
- Adaptive Governance. Give a governance item a minimum number of hours, and let a percentage-based item change its percentage by project size or pricing model.
- Approved Services Management. When a catalog service is edited and waiting for approval, projects, surveys and blueprints keep using the last approved version instead of hiding it.
Coming October 31
| What | What happens |

Until then, the features list in your settings shows the current badge and general availability date for the beta features.
