Adding Managed Services

You can add standard Managed Services in ScopeStack that allow you to quickly build out your Project.

You can add reusable Managed Services to a Project. To see your managed services, navigate to Managed Services > Services.

If your project doesn’t have any services, you’ll see a page allowing you to add services.

On this screen: The empty Managed Services page for a project. A prompt encourages you to get started, with an Add a Service button in the top toolbar.

If you have already added services, you will see the services listed here. In either case, to add services, click the Add a Service button in the top right of the page.

On this screen: The Managed Services list for a project, showing existing services in a table. Buttons in the toolbar include Hide all Subservices (or Show all Subservices) and Add a Service.

Searching for standard Managed Services

The first step is finding the Managed Services you need to add to the Project.

At the top of the page you can search for Managed Services by name, service category, or phase using the search field. Click the filter icon to the right to further narrow results by Line of Business, Blueprint, date range, and more.

On this screen: Step 1 of the “Add Services from Standards” flow. A search field labeled “Search existing standards by name, service category, or phase” appears at the top, with a filter icon to the right for filtering by Line of Business, Blueprint, or other criteria. Below is a paginated table of matching services with columns for Standard Name, Service Category, Preview (eye icon), and Total Hours. Checkboxes on the left let you select multiple services. A Continue to Add button in the header becomes active once services are selected.

Adding Re-usable Managed Services to a Project

After selecting which Managed Services you want to add, click Continue to Add at the top right of the page.

This brings you to a review step where you can edit the quantity of each service before adding it to the project. When you have finished, click Apply Standard(s) at the top right.

On this screen: Step 2 of the “Add Services from Standards” flow. Selected services are shown in a review table with columns for Service Name, Total Hours, and QTY (editable number input). The Resource dropdown is not shown for managed services. An Apply Standard(s) button in the header saves the services to the project.

Once that has been completed you will be redirected to the Services page to see the services that you have added to the project.

Working with managed services on the project

The managed services editor uses the same editor as Professional Services. The table shows these columns:

ColumnDescription
Service NameThe service name — editable text field
Service CategoryThe LOB category — editable dropdown
LocationShown only when the project has multiple service locations
QTYEditable quantity field
HoursEditable unit hours field
ResourceResource assignment dropdown (optional for managed services)

The toolbar above the table provides these actions:

  • Add a Service: Opens the Add a Service dialog to bring in more standard or custom services
  • Show all Subservices / Hide all Subservices: Toggles the visibility of subservice rows beneath each service

The editor auto-saves changes as you work — there is no Save button to click after editing fields.

You can reorder services by dragging the handle on the left of each row.

Editing service pricing

Each managed service carries a per-unit price and cost. These feed the project’s managed services pricing totals. For tiered pricing based on quantity, see Variable Rates.

Adding subservices

Expand a service row to see its subservices. You can add new subservices using the context menu (gear icon or arrow) on the service row. Each subservice has its own name, quantity, monthly price, and monthly cost.

Permissions

The Managed Services permission under Settings > Roles controls access:

  • View: Can see managed services on a project but cannot edit
  • Create: Can add services to a project
  • Manage: Can add, edit, reorder, and remove services
