April 2026 Changelog
April was a heavy month. It was led by a new rich text editor that now spans most of where you write in ScopeStack, and it brought price-adjustment management into one place, more label customization, and a long list of fixes across pricing, the project editor, documents, and integrations.
A richer text editor, across the platform
ScopeStack’s text fields use a new rich text editor, and April extended it to the Services catalog and Terms & Conditions (joining Project Services, the Executive Summary, and Services Language). The toolbar gained an H1–H4 heading dropdown and a Clear Formatting button. Pressing Enter inserts a line break and Shift+Enter starts a new paragraph, and pasting multi-paragraph text now comes through as clean line breaks. Automatic link detection was turned off, so links are added intentionally rather than created as you type. This affects editing only; it does not change how text is formatted in generated documents.
Manage price adjustments in one place
Price adjustments now live on the Overall Pricing tab, where you can add, edit, and delete them (with the pricing-adjustment permission). An Add Adjustment link appears next to a One Time or Recurring section that has revenue, and the form takes a price, a cost, a billing frequency for recurring adjustments, and an optional service category to scope the adjustment. The separate inline adjustment fields on the Professional Services and Managed Services pricing tabs were removed; those pages now point to Overall Pricing, so every adjustment is managed from one screen.
Save all your pending services at once
When you save a service in the editor while others are still unsaved, you can now choose to save just that one or all pending services together. Save All checks every unsaved service first, calling out any missing fields service by service, then creates them all in the correct phase order. The editor also validates required fields (name, quantity, hours) before saving, with a clear message about what’s missing.
More of the platform respects your custom labels
Per-account label customization reaches further this month. The project API now returns the full set of label keys, so custom terms show up wherever the app reads them. Custom Vendor Quote and Vendor Resource labels now display correctly in the governance form, the services editor, and the vendor quotes panel, and the Customer Summary editor now shows your configured section names instead of generic ones.
Faster vendor search
When assigning a vendor resource, the vendor dropdown now searches the server as you type (after three characters) instead of loading every vendor up front — much quicker on accounts with long vendor lists.
Archived users lose access immediately
Archiving a user now takes effect immediately: their existing sessions stop working on the next request, rather than continuing until they sign out. An archived user who tries to continue sees a clear message to contact their administrator.
Early access
We’re rolling a few capabilities out to a limited group of accounts. Contact ScopeStack to join.
- Bring your own AI keys. Power ScopeStack’s AI features with your own AI provider account — AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, Azure OpenAI, or another OpenRouter-compatible key — starting with the AI Executive Summary. Account admins can add private keys under Settings, mark a default and choose which models to use, and write custom prompt overrides that pair a specific AI action with a custom prompt and key. When no key is configured, ScopeStack uses its hosted AI.
For integrators
- Filter clients by ID. The clients API (
GET /v1/clients) now accepts afilter[id]parameter, so you can fetch specific clients by ID in a single request instead of pulling the full list.
Fixes
- AI Executive Summary. Now reliably shows the completed result instead of appearing stuck after generation finishes.
- Custom phase creation. Adding a custom phase now works for users with the phases permission, instead of failing with a permission error.
- Custom phase display. Services in custom phases load correctly even when a name is blank or a phase reference doesn’t resolve, instead of breaking the page.
- Professional Services “By Service” totals. No longer double-count a service alongside its subservices, and rows with subservices can expand and collapse.
- Project Governance pricing display. No longer appears twice in the “By Phase” view, and now shows within the relevant tab instead of below all tabs.
- Managed Services Pricing. Saving an MRR adjustment or payment term no longer reloads the page, and the MRR adjustment field shows two decimal places consistently.
- Subservice hours. Editing a subservice’s hour override now updates in the list immediately.
- Payment Term dropdown. Project Overview now reliably saves the term you select.
- Managed Services tab. Hidden for users who don’t have permission to view it.
- Number fields. Scrolling over a number field no longer accidentally changes its value.
- Saved project filters. Filters that reference clients outside the first page now resolve those clients correctly.
- Document generation with unmatched locations. No longer fails when a service’s location doesn’t match the project’s locations; that block is skipped and the document completes.
- Archived Terms & Conditions. Archived or inactive Terms & Conditions are no longer included in generated documents.
- Document regeneration. Regenerating a document now removes the previous version’s stored files instead of leaving them behind.
- ConnectWise. The already-linked project now appears in the PSA push dialog, and on-premise installations (which return a blank version) can connect without error.
- CRM sync. No longer creates duplicate client records during concurrent syncs, and no longer runs for CRM integrations that are connected but disabled.
- Duplicate notifications. Fixed a background-job issue that could send duplicate approval and notification emails.
