Overview of Third Party Services
Third Party Services let you include services being completed by a subcontractor in your project documents.
There are two ways to include these services in your projects:
- Vendor Quotes allow you to manually enter details of a vendor’s quote, apply markup or margin, and include the services in your project as Professional or Managed Services.
- Partner Requests allow you to solicit service details from another ScopeStack account through a Partnership.
Services entered into the Third Party Services area of a project are included in the Professional Services or Managed Services lists, whichever you designate for each service.
Partner Requests require a Partnership to be set up first. See Setting Up Partnerships to configure a partner relationship. If you don’t see this option in your account, contact support@scopestack.io.
How third-party pricing flows into your totals
A vendor quote or partner request contributes its revenue to your project as Third Party Services, and that amount rolls up into the project’s overall contract total alongside your professional and managed services. You can see the Third Party Services line, and its share of the total, on the Overall Pricing view.
Each third-party line carries its own cost, price, and margin. Enter the vendor’s actual cost so the line’s margin reflects your real spread, and use the Markup or Margin revenue method (see Vendor Quotes) to set the price.
