What gets Duplicated

A duplicated project brings over several items and attributes from the source project. Here is a list of items brought over by a duplicate project:

  • Resources
  • Professional Services
  • Managed Services
  • Project Governance Items
  • Partner Requests
  • Teammates
  • Vendor Quotes
  • Products

Project Duplication Permissions

You can now restrict project duplication using role permissions in your account! To do this, navigate to Settings > Roles > {Role Name} and find the permission titled Duplicate under the Projects section.

On this screen: The role editor shows a list of project-level permissions. The Duplicate permission controls whether users with this role can duplicate projects. Toggle it on or off to grant or restrict access.

How To Duplicate a Project

To duplicate a project, first, navigate to your Projects list page. Right-clicking on a project will reveal the context menu, which includes the option to Duplicate the project.

On this screen: The Projects list displays your projects in a table. Right-clicking a row opens a context menu with options including Duplicate.

You can also duplicate a project by clicking the duplicate option in the gear menu next to the project’s name inside the project editor.

On this screen: Inside the project editor, the project name is shown in the header with a gear icon next to it. Clicking the gear icon opens a context menu that includes Duplicate as an option.

That’s it! After completing this and refreshing your browser, you will see a copy project created in your list.
