Partnerships & Partner Requests
Partnerships let two ScopeStack accounts request and provide services to each other. When you request services from a partner, their scoped work flows into your project as third-party services with full pricing and language integration.
This is a paid add-on feature. Contact ScopeStack if you don’t see Partnerships in your account.
Setting Up a Partnership
Navigate to Settings > Account > Partnerships and click + Add Partnership.
On this screen: A table with columns for Partner and Status. Each active row is clickable and links to the partnership edit page. Pending partnerships show Accept and Decline buttons; active partnerships show a trash icon to terminate. A footer row contains the + Add Partnership button (shown when the plan permits partner services).
Enter the email address of a user at the partner organization.
On this screen: A card titled “Partnership” with a single Partner Email field and helper text reading “To start a partnership, please enter the email address of a contact at the prospective partner organization. This user will receive an invitation to the partnership.” A Submit button and a Back button appear below the field.
If a ScopeStack account with that email is found, the user receives an invitation. The receiving company can accept or decline. If no account is found, you are given a link to invite them to the platform.
Mapping Fields
After establishing a partnership, map the Service Description and Language Fields between your accounts. This ensures offered services populate into your projects correctly.
On this screen: A card titled “Partnership” with a “Map Phases and Language Fields” heading. A two-column table lists the inviting account’s Phase Service Description and Language Fields on the left. Each row on the right contains a dropdown to select the corresponding field from the partner’s account. A Submit button saves the mappings.
Removing a Partnership
Either company can terminate the partnership at any time by clicking the Terminate button that appears on the partnership row.
Requesting Services from a Partner
On a project, navigate to Third Party Services > Partner Requests.
On this screen: The Partner Requests section shows a table with columns for Partner, Description, Status, One Time Cost, Recurring Cost, Markup, One Time Revenue, and Recurring Revenue. An + Add Partner Request button appears in the footer when the project is in Building status.
Click + Add Partner Request to create a new request.
On this screen: The “New Partner Request” form contains a required multi-line text area labeled “High level description of work to be done”, a required Lines of Business dropdown, and a required Partner dropdown listing your established partners. A Submit button and a Back button appear at the bottom.
Provide a high-level description of the work, select the Line of Business, choose which partner, and click Submit. Your partner will be notified.
Reviewing and Accepting Offered Services
When your partner completes their scoping and offers services back, the request status updates and the row becomes clickable.
On this screen: The “Partner Request” detail view shows three tabs: Partner Request, Partner Description, and Our Description (the Our Description tab only appears when the request is in Complete status). When the status is “Offered,” the right column displays a read-only Markup field, Subproject Currency dropdown, read-only cost fields, and Recurring frequency and Term fields.
Set the markup percentage to add to the partner’s cost. Use the Partner Description tab to review the offered services and pricing.
On this screen: The Partner Description tab shows a read-only table of offered services grouped by phase. Columns show Service and Content. A View dropdown switches between language fields. When “Pricing” is active, columns change to Service, Hours, Rate, Cost, and Frequency.
After reviewing, you can:
- Accept the services as offered
- Revise to request changes from the partner
- Decline the services
After accepting, use the Our Description tab to customize the language that flows into your project documents.
On this screen: The Our Description tab shows an editable table of services with Content text areas. A View dropdown switches between language fields. A Submit button saves changes.
The partner’s services now appear in your Professional Services or Managed Services sections.
Fulfilling a Partner Request (Provider Side)
When another company requests your services, you see a notification under Service Requests.
On this screen: A card titled “Partner Request” with a table listing incoming partner requests. Columns include Partner, Description, Status, One Time Cost, Recurring Cost, Markup, One Time Revenue, and Recurring Revenue.
On this screen: The partner request detail shows the description, Lines of Business, and Partner fields. Action buttons appear based on status: Accept, Revise, and Decline for offered requests.
Click Create Project to accept and begin scoping. Build the project normally. Once approved, click the Offer Service button on the Project Overview to send the scoped work back to the requesting account.
The project is locked while the requesting account reviews it:
- Accepted: Your project is marked “Won”
- Declined: Your project is marked “Lost”
- Revision requested: Your project is unlocked with the revision reason displayed at the top
